Responsibilities:

•  Contributing to the architecture practices and overall technical directions for PropertyGuru with other senior technical leaders. 
• Leading the implementation and decommissioning of architecturally complex and legacy products of global significance end-to-end, including front-end, native mobile, APIs, and data. 
• Responsible for performing hands-on PoCs to validate new tech ideas that need to be adopted by the product teams after successful PoCs.
• Contribute to the architectural strategy to modernize the legacy technology stacks of PropertyGuru. 
• Driving significant components of the global architectural and technology strategy for PropertyGuru.
• Working with product stakeholders to meet architectural goals through delivery roadmaps.
• Build strong working relationships and be a trusted partner of our Product & Delivery teams. 
• Contributing to the PropertyGuru knowledge base through blog posts, brown-bags sessions and coaching less experienced members of the team.
• Actively representing the Property Guru's architecture team in public forums such as conferences, community groups and our technical blog.  
• Closely work with Tech Leads and Architects to continuously improve the development, architecture, and operations aspects of the system's health .

Requirements:

• Ideally, you have 10+ years of experience in software development and 5+ years of experience leading system designs and implementations.
• Expert skills in the design of high-performance dynamic web-based products and services that scale to hundreds of millions of users.
• Has demonstrated experience with modern object-oriented & functional programming practice in two or more of our programming languages – PHP, JavaScript, Python and Java.
• Advance skills in developing long-term system architecture strategies.
• Networking, TCP/IP, DNS, BGP, CDNs and routing.
• Advanced skills in modern software architecture patterns such as test-driven development and micro-services architecture.
• Experience in Continuous Integration and Delivery (CI/CD)
• Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases
• Advanced with Cloud Computing services (AWS) and associated technologies
• Knowledge of the Symfony framework is a bonus
• Worked in Agile or Scrum-based environment before
• Always open to learning new development methods, technologies and programming languages
• Experience with development tools such as Git, Jira, Trello etc.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, strong communications skills, problem-solving skills
• Demonstrated passion for technology, adaptive and a strong team player with a good work ethic.
