Responsibilities:
Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following SSC accounting functions of Account Receivables:
Leadership - Setting goals for the work group, developing organizational capability, and modeling how we work together:
1) Inform Team Lead and/or Senior Account Executives of AR operational issues
2) Participate in discussion on AR compliance issues to develop AR policies, procedures and controls
3) Participate in knowledge management process to develop relevant process reference materials.
4) Participate in local and/or regional project improvements.
Planning and Execution - Developing strategic and operational plans for the work group, managing execution, and measuring results:
1) Execute simple accounting work in accordance with the service management framework by providing timely and accurate customer service.
2) Ensure all simple accounting service request are processed according to established work instruction and ensure the accuracy and the completeness of the service request processed. Minimize number of service request escalations by ensuring all service requests are processed within the agreed service timelines.
3) Attend emails sent to the service delivery common mailbox for simple accounting information/service request. All attended mails should be classified correctly to respective folders accordingly and resolved in a timely, responsible and proactive manner.
4) Follow up on rejected simple accounting service request accordingly, reason should be clearly identified and invalid rejection
5) To monitor and process simple urgent requests before the specified deadline.
6) Review backlog and cycle time reports to improve simple accounting process flow times.
Business Requirements - Providing functional expertise and executing functional responsibilities:
1) To ensure compliance to company policies, legal and statutory requirements, including GAAP regulations.
2) To assist and perform other accounting tasks as company and/or management and changing business environment may require to perform.
3) Ability to liaise and communicate effectively with stakeholders on simple accounting queries/disputes.
4) Engage with internal SSC teams and inter-department and local country stakeholders to ensure integrated process is carried out efficiently and effectively.
5) Assist delivery of financial support to key projects including supporting the Finance Manager on financial matters as required, i.e. closing, internal audits, external, compliance etc.
Requirements:
1) Minimum 1 years of accounting experience at a professional level, including journal entries, account reconciliation and reporting
2) Good customer service mind set
3) Performance and target driven
4) Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadline and SLA requirements
5) Ability to work in a standardized environment with occasional variables
6) Able to support low complexity tasks and assist on small sized project initiatives
7) Ability to interact with a variety of people at all organizational levels
8) Simple analytical skills
9) Demonstrated ability to understand simple business and financial issues
10) Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
11) Knowledge or experience in Salesforce and NetSuite is an added advantage.
12) Process moderate MS Office skills
