The People & Culture (P&C) function
at PropertyGuru has six pillars – Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, Total
Rewards, People Services, People Experience, and Strategic Business
Partnering.
The newly created role leads Strategic Business Partnering.
In this role, you will partner directly with the Managing Director
of Marketplaces, our largest business vertical, and be responsible for a team
of HRBP’s.
You will lead HR Business Partnering across all business units and functions, approximately 1700
Gurus across 6 countries, and partner closely with our in-country HRBP Directors and all of our HR COEs (centres of excellence).

Product & Technology
This is a strategic, senior level HR business
partner role. The successful candidate will need to build collaborative and
supportive relationships with the business, demonstrating the strategic value a
modern-day People & Culture function can deliver, and becoming a dependable
thought partner to the Group Leadership Team. You should be highly commercial and business-oriented.
This role does not carry any responsibilities for HR Shared services, HR operations, HR systems, day-to-day employee engagement activities in the countries, or the design/oversight of HR centres of excellence.
The role is based in Singapore and reports
to the Chief People Officer. Relocation and Visa support is available for the right candidate.
- People leadership & HRBP upskilling for the HR Business Partnerships team
- Strategic HR business partnership to Managing Director of Marketplaces (primarily a sales function)
- Utilize people & culture data & insights to make recommendations on strategic growth projects that help PropertyGuru achieve its ambitions
- Drive future organizational design and change management initiatives, including M&A to help maintain high-performing, motivated and impactful teams
- Actively collaborate with HR COE’s to ensure they are developing products and services aligned to business needs
- Actively collaborate with Group Head of People Experience ensuring annual lifecycle activities and Guru Moments that Matter are executed in-country
- Planning leadership succession
- Be a company culture and values champion, leading self, and team as role models
- Managing and solutioning any complex employee relations issues associated with our senior leadership cohort
Requirements:
- Circa 10 years’ experience as a Strategic HR Business Partner, not including experiences of HR operations; recruitment; training or other HR functional roles
- Excellent business acumen, and experience of M&A
- Ideally has lived and worked within Southeast Asia gaining an understanding of the various markets & cultural nuances
- Tech Industry preferable, not compulsory
- Ideal background - candidate would be from medium sized firms who have experienced large growth transformation
- Proven leadership, people management, coaching and mentoring experience to nurture the next generation of our HRBP team
- Experience with organizational design, change & transformation a must
- High level of comfort with ambiguity, ability to move with speed & adapt to change
- Entrepreneurial spirit, and a track record of initiative taking
- A superb problem solver with strong negotiation and mediation skills
- An effective communicator and natural relationship builder who can collaborate with and influence a variety of work styles and personalities
- Ability to utilize data to create insights and make trusted recommendations to drive business results
- Ability to work with a very high level of confidentiality and discretion
