Role
As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for planning, organizing
and motivating project teams to achieve a high level of performance and quality
in delivering projects. You will be responsible for managing high-impact
programs using Agile methodologies in a fast-paced environment that may cut across
many business units. As an PM you will be
- Driving simple to complex projects in the finance domain consisting
of multiple internal and/or external Agile teams.
- Adhering to continuous project principles and facilitate
collaboration, establish effective communication principles in line with
continuous project management principles.
- Using functional knowledge/domain expertise, situation awareness
and experience in blending traditional project management principles and
practices with an Agile development approach to achieve the right balance
of agility and predictability.
- Playing a consultative role to help put in place the appropriate
people, processes and tools along with coaching team members to optimize
the efficiency and effectiveness of the project team.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Planning
and Management – Bring alignment
of project scope and schedule while focusing on regular and timely
delivery of value; organize and lead project status and working meetings;
prepare and distribute progress reports; track risks and issues; highlight
deviations from plans; escalate when necessary; and perform delivery
planning for assigned projects
- Stakeholder Management – Forge healthy working relationship with internal
& external business(predominantly finance), product & tech stakeholders
from different teams; facilitate workshops and meetings closely working
with business analysts, functional and technical consultants in different
stages of project - requirement gathering & walkthroughs, demos,
training, steering committee meetings thereby instituting proper project
governance.
- Team Management – Assist in team development while holding
teams accountable for their commitments, removing roadblocks to their
work; leveraging organizational resources to improve capacity for project work;
and mentoring and developing team members.
- Productivity and
efficiency – define key project
metrics and identify tools to monitor and improve team productivity and
efficiency
- Process
Management and Improvement –
Champion ongoing process improvement initiatives to implement best
practices for Agile Project Management working with other PMs.
Requirements
- 5+ years of
experience as a Project/Program Manager with proven success in driving
cross functional projects with internal/external stakeholders.
- 3+ years of
experience with SCRUM/Agile project management.
- Functional knowledge
in ERP/Accounting/FP&A domains with the ability to establish/maintain
high level of stakeholder trust and confidence.
- Hands-on
experience in using tools such as Jira/Greenhopper, Rally, VersionOne or
equivalent.
- Self-motivated
individual achieving results through others, and being a strong team
player.
- Strong
interpersonal skills including mentoring, coaching, collaborating, and team
building.
- Strong
analytical, planning, and organizational skills to manage demanding work.
- Excellent oral
and written communications skills and experience interacting with both
business, product and technical teams at all levels(including the executive
level).
- Sufficient level
of technical background to provide credible leadership to development
teams and to be able to accurately and objectively evaluate complex
project risks and issues.
- PMP/CSM/PMI-ACP
or equivalent certification is preferred, though not mandatory.
- Experience
overseeing multi-function project teams including Developers, Product
Owners, Analysts, and QA Personnel
- Sufficient level
of technical background to provide credible leadership to development
teams and to be able to accurately and objectively evaluate complex
project risks and issues
